Character: Jack Bauer Summary: The Counter Terrorist Unit are tipped off about a vessel coming into the harbor carrying narcotics and a possible strain of Ricin gas. Jack is dispatched to investigate. As the day unfolds, Jack uncovers a bigger plot that involves the assassination of the Vice President , who is running the country while President David Palmer is recovering from the attempt on his life, that could lead all the way back to the people responsible for the events that took place six months earlier. Character: President David Palmer Summary: The President who led the country during a time of crisis, David Palmer fell victim to an assassination attempt six months ago. Although he survived, he was in no condition to provide leadership for the U.S., so he passed on his duties to his Vice President Jim Prescott until he could fully recover. When the same terror cell plot an attempt on Prescott's life, Palmer realizes that he has no choice but to put his rehabilitation aside and take control of his Presidency once again. As the terrorist threat intensifies, Tony may be forced to step out into the field which could have some dire consequences from The Powers That Be and the terrorists themselves. Character: Kim Bauer Summary: Kim is the trouble-prone daughter of Jack Bauer. Terrorists are planning a major strike in Los Angeles on the same say that Kim plans to start work at CTU as an intern. Tony doesn't like that she is starting today but Sean Walker a new analyst takes her under his wing. Although she is stuck in the confines of CTU, Kim could be dragged into the terrorist plot before she knows it and become crucially vital to national security. Actor: James Badge Dale
Character: Chase Edmunds Summary: A member of the Washington DC branch of CTU, Chase has been undercover for a year and a half. Chase learns early in the day of the attempt on the Vice President's life and alerts CTU in Los Angeles, where Prescott is located. When he is relieved of his responsibility on the case he gets Chloe O'Brian to organize a flight to Los Angeles. Character: Michelle Dessler Summary: Michelle is now second in command at CTU and in a serious relationship with CTU Director Tony Almeida. As a former computer technician, she has what it takes to help CTU engage and eliminate threats to U.S. National Security. Character: Chloe O'Brian Summary: A member of the Washington DC CTU, she has proven herself to be one of the best computer technicians that CTU has ever employed. Chloe has worked with Chase Edmunds at CTU for a very long time and they are very close friends. The day will tell the story of how she transferred to CTU LA and met the team. She starts off having some social problems with some of the other technicians at CTU LA but tries to remain calm doing her job without distraction. Actor: Zachary Quinto
Character: Adam Kaufman Summary: Adam Kaufman is a new analyst at the Counter Terrorist Unit in Los Angeles. Although he has a few problems with some of his fellow agents, presumably Chloe O'Brian, he keeps his attention drawn toward the task at hand, which is helping CTU to prevent a terrorist threat from becoming a tragic reality. Character: Vice President Jim Prescott Summary: Jim Prescott is currently the Vice President of the United States of America, next to President David Palmer. He was sworn in as Acting President when Palmer was nearly assassinated. Prescott is currently visiting Los Angeles however he could be walking straight into a trap. An assassination attempt targeting him could leave the country without a leader. CTU must do everything to prevent this from happening and control the potential chaos. Actor: Paul Schulze
Character: Ryan Chappelle Summary: Regional Director Ryan Chappelle is brought in to CTU at some point during the day to restore order and aid in the operation to find the terrorists and stop them from fulfilling their ultimate plan. Actor: Danny Cooksey
Character: Sean Walker Summary: A new CTU analyst, who has little experience with GPS tracking and satellite usage, Sean Walker could become very good at what he does, very soon. Throughout the day he will help Jack Bauer, Chase Edmunds, Tony Almeida and various other field operatives by using thermal imaging to scan buildings for enemies, sending schematics and blueprints to fellow agents and solving the latest threat. The days events will cause him and everyone to be on their top alert and function mistake free. Actor: Christian Kane
Character: Peter Madsen Summary: Madsen worked with Jack nine years ago in Special Ops and is behind the day's assassination attempt and terrorist strikes. He has a mercenary group at his disposal and will stop at nothing to accomplish his plans. Madsen is married but has not been in contact with his wife for some time. When he discovers that Jack Bauer knows his location and that he could put a stop to his operations, Madsen takes matters into his own hands and does something that not only gets Jack's attention but also the attention of a certain member of the Bauer family. Madsen has ties to the men behind the Palmer's assassination attempt six months earlier. Actor: Unknown
Character: Del Toro Summary: Del Toro is a top notch drug-lord which forces him to usually spend his time hiding out in his drug den away from busy streets and the watchful eye of the Los Angeles Police Department. When CTU discovers he could have information regarding the location of the mastermind behind the day's terrorist strike, Jack Bauer goes to find out what he knows and what his connection is. Character: Robert Daniels Summary: A known terrorist cell member who is currently working for a group led by Madsen. Daniels possesses critical information on the assassination attempt on Vice President Prescott. When apprehended and interrogated by Jack Bauer, he reveals that snipers will fire on Prescott's motorcade as he is traveling across the busy streets and intersections of Los Angeles.
